Myth or truth? Do e-bike batteries really lose power in winter?

E-bikes are now a popular mobility option all year round - even in winter. But many users ask themselves the question: How does the cold affect the performance of the battery? Increasing safety for cyclists: Results of the DEKRA study and valuable tips for greater road safety

A new study by DEKRA and the market research institute Ipsos shows that many cyclists in Germany perceive road traffic as unsafe. Especially in cities, many people feel uneasy, which often turns cycling into a tense affair. According to the survey, 41% of respondents feel unsafe or even very unsafe in urban traffic - a figure that has actually risen slightly since the last survey. On country roads, 34 percent of cyclists also feel very unsafe. Many see the inadequate cycling infrastructure as the main problem. An improvement in cycle paths and more decoupling from car traffic are among the most frequent demands of those surveyed. Action is therefore needed to improve the safety situation for cyclists in Germany. But how can cyclists themselves actively contribute to safer everyday traffic? Especially with the pedelec, better known as an e-bike, which is becoming increasingly popular, there are a number of behaviors and precautions that can increase safety in traffic.
