Team Visma | Lease a Bike experienced up close at the Tour de France 2024
There are few bigger stages in cycling than the Tour de France, and we at Lease a Bike are proud to support Team Visma | Lease a Bike at this event. The team's participation in this year's Tour de France is particularly exciting, not least because of the impressive performances and the rousing atmosphere that our colleagues Tobias Macke and Dennis Langlets were able to experience live on site.

A dramatic start to the year
The season began with a major challenge for the team. Jonas Vingegaard, one of the team's top riders, suffered a serious crash in the spring. For a long time, it was unclear whether he would be fit again in time for the Tour de France. But Vingegaard's tireless efforts and the support of the entire team paid off: He was able to recover in time and prepared intensively for the Tour.
Stage 11
A truly unique experience
On July 10, our colleague Tobias Macke was on site to follow the 11th stage of the Tour de France. This demanding mountain stage led the riders over 211 km from Évaux-les-Bains to Le Lioran. It was a day full of excitement and breathtaking landscapes, and Team Visma | Lease a Bike delivered an impressive performance. Particularly noteworthy was Jonas Vingegaard, who claimed the stage victory and once again demonstrated his exceptional talent.
Tobias described the atmosphere as electrifying. “The energy and enthusiasm of the spectators along the route were incredible. It was an unforgettable experience to see our team perform so successfully in action and to be able to cheer them on in person,” he said enthusiastically. The emotional highlight was undoubtedly the moment when Jonas Vingegaard shed tears of joy after crossing the finish line, overwhelmed by his victory and the support of the fans.
Stage 14
A triumph in the mountains
Just a few days later, on July 13, it was Dennis Langlets who experienced the breathtaking 14th stage from Pau to Saint-Lary-Soulan. This 152 km mountain stage was a tough test during the Tour and demanded everything from the riders. Jonas Vingegaard impressed once again, finishing in 2nd place, demonstrating his incredible fighting spirit and excellent form.
Dennis was deeply impressed by the spectacular scenery and the intense effort of the riders. “The mountains and the challenge of this route created a unique atmosphere. The euphoria in the team and the passion of the fans at the side of the track were overwhelming,” he reported.
